This piece about Prof. Nagarajan succintly conveys many of his achievements and his brilliance as a scholar of English Literature. But Prof. Nagarajan was more than a scholar of English Literature, with deep interests in the other areas of Humanities such as Philosophy and of Social Science such as sociology and politics. One of the most erudite scholars, he was hardly ever restricted by disciplinary boundaries, navigating easily across them and in the process creating newer questions, investigations and also finding answers. This is paying just a small tribute to a great man and great mind.
